Searching for vintage comics, vinyl records, toy collectables, stamps or old-school antiques? There’s one spot in Singapore that collectors and hobbyists always return to: The Retro Factory’s vintage flea market at Katong Square.

The Retro Factory has been running this beloved vintage flea market for close to a decade, popping up every first and third weekend of the month.

From afar, you can spot signs pointing to the flea market, so it’s hard to miss.

The Retro Factory

Both indoors and outdoors are packed with booths. Like most flea markets, booth vendors aren’t fixed. Thus, you can expect something different each visit.

The range of items is exceptionally wide. Comics, toys, watches, jewellery, CDs, magazines, matchboxes, trinket boxes, glass bottles, the list goes on.

Dig enough and you might uncover pieces of national heritage. We found a postcard from 1988 celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday.

And another commemorating 20 years of National Service in Singapore.

Even though the flea market only happens twice a month, the Katong Square Antique Centre is a fixed installation that is open daily.
