At first glance, it looks like a circus frozen mid-performance. Look closer, and you’ll realise everything is made entirely of wax.

Cirque Korn is a free exhibition now showing at Heartware Store & Gallery, turning the space into a playful, slightly chaotic circus world built from hand-carved candle sculptures.

What You’ll See Inside
Instead of traditional artworks on white walls, the gallery is filled with sculptural candle pieces arranged like a miniature circus set.

Figures balance on each other, animals pose mid-trick, and rows of candle faces appear to watch the show unfold.
The pieces are displayed on circus-style stands and platforms, with a central podium anchoring the space.

One line hovering above this display sums up the mood perfectly:
“Every day feels like a circus. Some days I’m the ringmaster, some days I’m the runaway poodle.”

Candles, But Not the Kind You Light Casually
These aren’t background candles. Each piece is hand-carved and hand-painted, using soft, pastel tones that give the sculptures a dreamy, almost watercolour-like finish.

While every candle is technically functional, most feel closer to collectable objects than something you’d ever want to melt.

Sizes range from tiny, palm-sized figures to larger, more elaborate centrepieces that feel like full scenes rather than standalone objects.
Can You Buy the Pieces?
Yes. As with most exhibitions at Heartware Store & Gallery, all displayed works are available for purchase.
Prices range widely. Small wax pieces start from $38 SGD at the gift store section. Larger, more intricate sculptures go all the way up to $2,650 SGD

There are other merchandise available for purchase like stickers, temporary tattoos and bags.
