Two of Orchard’s most unassuming malls become homes for some of the Biennale’s most surprising installations.
When people think of Orchard, they picture luxury storefronts, glossy escalators, and air-conditioned shopping. However, hidden Biennale art inside Orchard malls offers a fresh surprise. Right now, inside two of its older malls, the Singapore Biennale 2025 has quietly slipped in works that feel completely out of place in the best way.
Dates: 16 October 2025 – 1 March 2026
Theme: pure intention
Admission: Free (except SAM)
The Biennale this year spreads beyond museum walls, appearing in everyday spaces across Singapore, from shopping malls and libraries to a school, a park, and even MRT stations.
Here’s where to find hidden Biennale art inside two Orchard malls:
1. Far East Shopping Centre
Yuri Pattison – entropy study & cloud gazing (americium)

A small office unit has transformed into a strange, glowing landscape. Real estate scale models from China’s property boom blink faintly under radiation detectors, while cloud animations are powered by a quantum random number generator (a tool used in financial risk modeling). This eerie miniature world quietly asks what happens when we try to predict the future.
Venue: #04-08, 545 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238882
Opening hours: 10am – 7pm daily
The Packet – “Water Under a Bridge / A Bridge Under Water”

Step into a mid-2000s internet cafe. Rows of monitors display videos, comment threads, and conversations from 12 artists exploring histories that refuse to fade. It’s disorienting, nostalgic, and strangely familiar.
Venue: #01-10, 545 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238882
Opening hours: 10am – 7pm daily
2. Lucky Plaza
Tan Pin Pin – On a Clear Day You Can See Forever

Two timelines play side by side: a polar bear pacing in an artificial Arctic, and a drive along the PIE at 80km/h. Translucent screens merge and separate the images, inviting reflection on rhythm, control, and systems that never stop moving.
Venue: #03-89/90, 304 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238863
Opening hours: 10am – 7pm daily
Eisa Jocson – The Filipino Superwoman X H.O.M.E. Karaoke Living Room

A Lucky Plaza unit transforms into a living room inspired by Filipino karaoke gatherings (Bidyoke). Karaoke videos created by members of the Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME) shelter play on the screens. The space feels warm, emotional, and deeply connected to the Filipino community around it.
Venue: #03-52, 304 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238863
Opening hours: 10am – 7pm daily
