Light to Night Festival returns for its milestone 10th edition, once again transforming Singapore’s Civic District into a night playground of light, art and performances. Organised by National Gallery Singapore, the annual festival invites everyone to experience art after dark.

Running from 9 to 31 January 2026, this year’s edition is also the longest Light to Night has ever been, giving you plenty of chances to drop by over the month.

What to Expect at Light to Night 2026

Instead of a single central venue, Light to Night unfolds across multiple locations in the Civic District.

Everything is tied together by this year’s theme, “The Power In Us”, which explores community, shared experiences and collective memory.

Light Projections

No Light to Night is complete without its large-scale projection mappings. This year, buildings around the Civic District once again become canvases after dark, with light works illuminating landmarks like National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House, and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall.

From abstract visuals to works inspired by Southeast Asia’s changing landscapes and cultural memory, these projections remain one of the festival’s most anticipated highlights.

Interactive Installations & Exhibitions

Beyond the projections, visitors can explore a range of walk-in and hands-on artworks designed to be experienced slowly.

Highlights include exhibitions at the Padang Atrium that spotlight Singapore’s diverse communities, alongside the SANTAI series, a collection of specially commissioned works inspired by the idea of rest, gathering and shared spaces.

BTS fans can also look out for the return of the Namjooning Trail. The second edition pairs selected artworks from the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery and DBS Singapore Gallery with solo tracks by each member of BTS, creating a self-guided experience that blends visual art with music. Entry is free, but registration is required.

Performances, Tours & Special Programmes

If you’re keen to do more than just wander, there are also live performances, guided tours and ticketed activities happening on selected dates.

Some activities are free to join, while others require tickets or advance sign-ups, so it’s worth checking the schedule ahead of time.

Art x Social: Festival Village

After all that walking, the Art x Social: Festival Village is where many people naturally gravitate towards.

Expanded this year to include areas like St Andrew’s Road and Empress Lawn, the festival village brings together food stalls, craft experiences, live music and open spaces to sit and recharge.

Good Pet Fair will also be hosting a Pet Weekend on 23-24 Jan, with pet-friendly vendors and activities for animal lovers.
